Cairns Street Buskers Festival September 2010

Following on the heels of the 2010 Cairns Festival is the spectacular and highly entertaining Cairns Street Buskers Festival - 22nd to the 26th September.

Some of the hottest acts from Australia and around the world hit the streets of Cairns to perform and talk directly with you: Arizona Jones, Ding Dong Meet Yvonne, Circus Under the Stars, Great Scott and Lindsay Webb to name but a few.

With cash and prizes in excess of $3000.00 perhaps you'd like to strut your busk in the Street Star Buskers Competition. The top 10 buskers with the most amount of votes will go through to the Grand Final held on Sunday 5th September at Carnival on Collins.

Be sure to bring your spare change and throw into the hat of these very talented street buskers. The thrilled look on the faces of the busking kids last year was priceless. I could see their little minds adding up their change as they concentrated on their act.

In respect and honour for the local Indigenous people, the Cairns Buskers Festival acknowledges the Gimuy Yidinji people on whose land they will entertain, perform and celebrate.
